— Ephesians 3:20–21

Our Journey

Our Story

From small prayer gatherings to a global movement—discover how God birthed and built EriPrayer Ministry. Every chapter is a testimony of His faithfulness.

"He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion." — Philippians 1:6

2011

Seeds of Prayer

In America, across various states, a group of dedicated and committed servants of the Almighty God began gathering faithfully through telephone prayer lines. For years, these believers met with humility and perseverance, learning from one another, encouraging each other, and lifting one another in intercession.

Though separated by distance, they were united in heart and Spirit — sharing one burden: to pray earnestly for Eritrea, the persecuted church, and the global Eritrean community in diaspora. In the mid-year of 2011, the Holy Spirit began to move among these small prayer groups, stirring a new hunger for fellowship, holiness, and national revival.

"If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray..." — 2 Chronicles 7:14

2012

United by the Spirit

The Holy Spirit sovereignly connected six scattered groups, revealing a shared vision for a global prayer movement among Eritreans. Leaders from different cities and denominations recognized God was doing something extraordinary.

Under the spiritual guidance of Pastor Ghirmai Mihretu, a faithful servant and teacher of the Word, these six groups began to learn, grow, and walk together in Christian brotherhood. Pastor Ghirmai patiently taught, encouraged, and shepherded them through the Word of God, emphasizing unity, humility, and the transforming power of prayer.

"Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!" — Psalm 133:1

2013

EriPrayer Ministry Founded

EriPrayer Ministry was officially established as a recognized ministry, with a clear mandate: to build a 24/7 altar of prayer for Eritrea and the nations. A board, structure, and vision statement were laid down in prayer and faith.

This was not merely an organizational beginning; it was a divine awakening — a movement ordained by God for a prophetic purpose. The telephone prayer conference became a 24-hour altar of intercession, where believers across America lifted their voices day and night in praise, thanksgiving, and supplication.

"Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain." — Psalm 127:1

2015

Zoom Prayer Goes Global

EriPrayer embraced online technology through Zoom, breaking geographical barriers and connecting thousands of Eritrean believers across continents in real-time prayer and worship. This became the heartbeat of the ministry.

As Eritrean believers spread across continents, the light of Eriprayer Ministry followed them. From North America to Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, the Lord raised local prayer groups and outreach teams under one vision — to unite the Body of Christ and restore hope to the Eritrean people everywhere.

"Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage." — Psalm 2:8

2018

EriPrayer Divinity College

Through much prayer, God revealed the need for biblical education and leadership training. Thus, the vision of Eriprayer Divinity College was born — to train pastors, evangelists, and teachers in sound doctrine, biblical leadership, and servant ministry.

This college aims to raise a new generation of Eritrean leaders grounded in Scripture, equipped to preach truth, and committed to humility and holiness. The courses are designed not only to inform the mind but to transform the heart.

"And the things you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also." — 2 Timothy 2:15

2020

From Prayer to Action

The Holy Spirit reminded the founders that faith without works is dead (James 2:17). Thus, the ministry moved from intercession to action — showing God's love through tangible works of compassion.

Eriprayer Ministry began feeding the hungry, clothing the poor, supporting orphans and widows, and aiding refugees and the persecuted church. What began as intercession became intervention — the Gospel expressed in love, generosity, and holistic care.

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to proclaim good news to the poor." — Isaiah 61:1

2023

Annual Conferences & Revival

From this foundation, God expanded the ministry to include Annual Eriprayer Conferences—sacred gatherings of believers from America, Canada, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. Each year during the first week of November, these conferences unite worshippers.

These annual meetings are times of renewal, reconciliation, and revival — where hearts are refreshed, vision is strengthened, and faith is ignited. They also serve as a platform to reconcile divided Eritrean churches and bring pastors and elders together in unity and peace.

"Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord… He will teach us His ways, so that we may walk in His paths." — Isaiah 2:3

Future

Building for God's Glory

Through prophetic revelation, God has given Eriprayer Ministry a long-term vision for the rebuilding of lives, churches, and communities in Eritrea once peace prevails.

Under God's will, the ministry plans to build: Eriprayer Divinity College — a center for theological education; Prayer and Retreat Center — a sanctuary for intercession and renewal; Orphanage and Family Care Homes — providing safety and love for vulnerable children.

"They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated." — Isaiah 61:4
